started off on a 4.5m & 76lt as it was 25knts + & well sunny. this combo was great but a little over powered in the gusts, the tide was a way out but already down the burnt pier end the waves were reasonable, making for good jumping gybing & off the lip jumps on starboard tack.
Then it started raining Hard, visibility right down & the wind went a bit mental, so i came in & sheltered behind the van with Stu until the the rain passed.the wind didn't drop so out came the 3.8m, this was still overpowered at times but ok most of the time,by now the tide was in the waves alot bigger now, with playful waist shoulder height close in to way over head high out the back, they were very steep breaking even way out in the channel, even with rolling white water in the middle of the bay 300m out, but i was out here on my own?
i Then sailed with Stu more towards Uphill which was ace fun, jumping off the same waves & running along the same ones on the way back in,after 4 hrs i was knackered, & luckily got off & de-rigged before ahuge rainy squall went through....
